Proposal re Civil Court back-log: allow older claims to opt into the new simplified non-jury system if they limit their claims to $200k (or $500k)....Judge alone trials are more predictable and thus more likely to settle at pre-trial or could have quicker virtual trials.

Working on a case where my client's signature was forged. If the signature had been Docusign rather than hand-written, we could have traced the email used, the IP address, the time etc. Reminds me of how utterly stupid it is that we still rely on untraceable pen ink signatures.
