Co-op’s main website (coop.co.uk) has been rated as the number 1 UK supermarket for accessibility by Silktide. I’d like our scores to be higher across the board but this makes me very happy. It’s been a lot of hard work by a lot of people who really care.

Yesterday we ( Snook ran the Digital Scotland Service Design Champions course with an ace group of 32 humans- I came out energised & my brain was fuelled. Something I have noticed reoccurring online is the chat becoming another layer of learning. Here are some observations

You don’t always need to deliberately schedule platform work - just ask the team to deploy more frequently. They'll fix the onerous parts of the process on their own. There are now excellent tools for all modern systems. There are few reasons deploys can't be fast and frequent.

I don’t settle until I have a 100% automated deployment from a push to source control, ideally within a few minutes. Team Radio Lollipop deploys 3-5x per day right now from our Ruby on Rails app. Deploys are parallelised, and can take less than a minute.

V nice advice. Retros form the learning loop that parallels the learning loops that your product should be built upon.
