Out with my Belfast Boy on Saturday celebrating someone’s 40th wedding anniversary, a bit sad to realise we probably wouldn’t ever do that but so happy and grateful to get another shot at love in my 50s, love this man to bits ❤️

Done it! Finally! That took 18 months of hard slog, 8 months hovering just off target. BMI has gone from 32 to 26 (still overweight, I know) and exactly two stone lighter. Get in!

It’s been a funny old week. Work is exhausting & constantly on my mind, I haven’t slept well for days & I’m troubled & sad at the death of my Queen. I won’t be in the country for the funeral so partner and I are off to Sandringham to pay our respects and seek some peace

The trip to Sandringham was worth it, I feel better and it was heartwarming to see so many people from every generation paying their respects in such a warm and quiet way. The photos don’t do it justice, the scale of the flowers was immense ❤️

Currently enjoying the delights of Portugal and our villa has a beautiful little garden full of lovely and unusual succulents which are inspiring changes to more drought-resistant plants in my English garden. More research required as to how they will survive an English winter

Two big projects, new shelving and a new website, close to completion. I’m pleased but I won’t lie, I don’t want another year like 2022 for externally imposed changes (although the shelving was our idea) next year I just want to focus on my service and my lovely library users
