Along with my colleagues Lyndsay Winkley and Lauryn Schroeder we looked at 18 months of stops/crime data across SDPD beats. We found that police beats where the population is majority non-White have higher ratio of police stops to crimes. /2

Just became the HOA treasurer for my complex and I feel like my jrn skills have primed me for this role. I can't wait to pour over invoices, follow the money and fight with companies about being unnecessarily charged.

I called Michigan State home for four of the greatest years of my life. At no point did I ever feel unsafe. Never. To see students fleeing on foot in fear of an active shooter on campus is incomprehensible. I am devastated.
