More error-riddled, "high quality" curriculum (elementary math) from the Houston Independent School District. Teachers should not be responsible for individually finding and correcting errors in the printed curriculum, and kids shouldn't have to struggle over them.

I am not against STAAR, but if the only purpose children are ever given for reading is to answer STAAR-stemmed questions at the end of the passage, students are being taught not to read. Just look for the answers. Reading must be for more than STAAR prep.

I'm not an expert on PreK, but do babies really need 30-minute timed slideshows? Also, what happens if a child does not pass this DOL? Please comment. Do you think HISD's Pre-K curriculum is a best practice for 3 year olds?

#HISD appointed administration constantly tries to shift blame for their subpar reports and propaganda when it backfires in their faces. The Chronicle reporters are not having it!

How many legs does a horse have? This is the "high quality" AI-generated curriculum that Houston ISD teachers are required to teach to honors 7th graders. As you can see by the response, students aren't fooled. Our students need a TRUE high-quality education. This is not it.

According to the Houston Chronicle, HISD teacher pay is 25th in the area. Any district starting at 64K that uses the Teacher Incentive Allotment can make this claim. HISD: tell the truth. When you lie, we can't trust you. houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-t…

For ppl curious about HISD: "Books are not the only things missing. Gone, too, are the small moments of discovery... Instead, students file in and out of these repurposed spaces with packets under one arm, a timer ticking down each segment of their day." shorturl.at/2Oyky

170+ Houston ISD schools (most in high-poverty areas) now have no libraries. In English class, kids in New Education System schools use AI-produced texts & study AI illustrations instead of real photos/art. Look at the faces & words in this lesson based on the Harlem Renaissance.

“'The district's being fairly optimistic to indicate that the lower application rate is that people are satisfied. That's not what I'm hearing within the community,' Klussmann said." Are you listening HISD BOM? NO. We do not want your low expectations for our kids.
