Might be on the other side of the world, but still using public transport. Today it was the train into Melbourne Central, at the weekend it was buses to the shopping centre. 🇦🇺

Look, obviously I'd love a bank holiday, but it would be quite galling for the men's team to get the country a bank holiday for winning a tournament the Lionesses already won?

Frustrating to hear there is *another* delay to the Camp Hill line train stations, as well as the Metro extension. Encouraging folk out of cars and onto public transport or active travel will only happen with better infrastructure and it seems constantly delayed.

Had to catch #The50Bus today and dropped me off at the top end of Digbeth. It’s looking rather lovely in the sunshine, those flowers look fab West Midlands Metro.

It’s so expensive to travel by train these days that I’m not sure it’s falling demand and more a case of people reducing their trips because of price being prohibitive. I certainly don’t go to London as much because of travel costs.

United in care for community and calling out idiots who seek to cause division, this is the Birmingham I know - and the East Brum I grew up in.

Rescued a sack of Lego from going to the tip yesterday. Took it home, gave it a bath, and just dropped it in to Stirchley Library (Friends of StirchLib) for their Lego club. Please don’t throw out Lego - if your library doesn’t want it, charity shops or Lego resellers do! ♻️

Bought this bargain blanket box at Birmingham Hospice in Cotteridge, then got it home on a NX West Midlands bus. Delighted with it; have been looking at ones online that were five times the price. Never underestimate the bus for helping take the load!

You know, we can just call buses buses. We don't need to rebrand them. We just need them to be frequent, reliable, safe, affordable, and accessible – and then maybe people won't think bus is a dirty word.

Astonishing. This person should never be allowed behind the wheel again. It’s time we rethought the notion of driving—and indeed car ownership—as a right instead of an extraordinary privilege that places enormous responsibilities on the individual, and enormous costs on society.

It’s #CatchTheBusMonth and Transport for West Midlands casually drop this?! Glorious poster by Milan Illustrator and of course excellent words by I Choose Birmingham rightly pointing out by bus is the best way to travel… #CTBM24

13 motorists have just ignored a red light on the Pershore Road…THIRTEEN! 😡 When can we expect to hear some plans for meaningful action on response to this road safety ‘emergency’ Bham City Council called over a month ago?
