Using pebble roundness to derive transport distance: possible or not? Prakash Pokhrel's first PhD paper is now in open discussion 👇 We'd love to hear your opinion on our new approach! Hugh Sinclair Simon Marius Mudd @dr_mark_naylor egusphere.copernicus.org/preprints/2023…

#proudsupervisor It was fantastic to see Rachel Williams graduate today. A really great bit of worked that is being worked up into a paper, watch this space. Great job @RachelW👏

So good to finally see the Allt Lorgy in person for the first time today!! What an incredible scheme - loads of natural tree regeneration and some very cool dynamic geomorphology. Amazing to see how a river can recover when restored and given the space to flow freely! 🌞 🌲

Prakash Pokhrel's first PhD paper is now out in its final version! I'm excited to share this work that includes a new methodology to assess travel distance from rounding, and a discussion based on data from old and modern Himalayan rivers. Enjoy! ⬛️⚫️🏈🥖 esurf.copernicus.org/articles/12/51…

What does a scientist look like? There are many roles and types of research undertaken by scientists globally. But there is still a stereotypical perception of what a scientist does and what they look like: nature.com/immersive/wher…
