S1 have been learning about the body's immune responses with Mrs Smyth. They have produced models and comics about different white blood cells 🦠

S1 Biology have been learning about bones, ligaments and tendons with Mrs Smyth. They have made models to see how they are all interlinked 👌

A few photos from Outdoor Classroom Day! S3 Biology helped Miss Jordan sow wildflower seeds, while S2 Chemistry took a trip to the beach to extract iodine from seaweed!

S4 Biology finished up the year by completing a heart dissection with Miss Jordan. Pupils were able to identify the main chambers and blood vessels 🫀

S4 Biology did a fantastic job of dissecting owl pellets yesterday afternoon. They have been learning about predator-prey cycling in the National 5 Biology course.

The Higher Environmental Science class were analysing soil samples to assess what soil type is found around the school grounds (unanimously clay loam)

S4 Environmental Science entered the Dragon's Den today (featuring Dr Simmonds, Mr Fernandez and Ben, an AH Business pupil). All pupils presented a sustainable food product and Cameron and Arran came out victorious! Well done to all for such well thought-out ideas 💡
