Today, on Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women in law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice. At Lasell University Police Department, we are proud to carry on their legacy of service, integrity, and dedication.

This past week, Lasell hosted 2 days of an active shooter training led by Community First Project as part of a week-long training. Quincy, Waltham, Wellesley, Boston, Newton, and Lasell officers participated in hands-on drills focused on response, coordination, and public safety.

Congratulations to our four RAD graduates! 🎉 A huge thank-you to our incredible participants, instructors, and the dedicated helpers from both @wilmingtonmapd and Newton MA Police Dept. who made our very first RAD class such a success. We couldn’t have asked for a better start!!

Reminder before leaving for Thanksgiving Break! From December 1st to March 31st, parking on Newton streets for more than one hour between 2:00 am and 6:00 am is prohibited. Please be aware that the fine for a violation is $25. Thanks for helping keep our streets safe!

With the help of our department members, we were able to donate meal items, along with snacks and drinks, to Lasell’s Klingbeil Food Pantry! Special shoutout to Bird Hughes and Sgt. Kane for making this project possible year after year!

Our thoughts and prayers are with Uxbridge PD as they mourn the tragic on-duty loss of one of their own. We extend our deepest condolences and support to Uxbridge PD, and to the family, friends, and loved ones of Officer Laporta during this incredibly difficult time.
