Plays, podcasts, and politely declining salvation. Mythic grit, theatrical spite, and a soft spot for doomed sincerity.

Nero Wolfe. I'm looking for a recommendation on this guy. Theory: Should love him. Mixes pulpy PI and aristocratic consulting detective. But could never get into them. Should I start later? Is there a better novel than the first one?

I think we should use the term Saucy more often. Also man do I miss the domino mask. The least helpful disguise ever but everyone pretends. Better than Clark Kent's glasses.

Reading Romance of the Three Kingdoms. And I've lost Guan Yu (God of War) and Cao Cao (The emperor's best friend) in four chapters. What the heck 14th century China! What the heck.

Finally watched the Apartment. Making this my third major Jack Lemon performance I've seen since adulthood. He's got this fantastic double bluff in performance. An over-the-top layer for his fellow characters punctuated by moments of vulnerability only a few (including us) see.

Ok, I'm late to the game but in fairness I'm dragging all my other clueless friends and family to listen to The Rest Is History. If only for the simmering tension between the hosts and the love of beards.

Only in like three of the stories! And are those the best tales sure... and does the words bring me further into understanding the real truth... maybe! But our true emperor will rule soon enough. By the way I'm offering a great deal on repaired reputations 5 bucks. No joke :)

My Dad did something fun. When I was young he told stories camp fire style. It could be Greek myths, or whatever. Sometimes it would be big comic sagas. I remember him telling Secret Wars in a cafeteria. Spiderman really was like Odysseus or Paul Bunyan. And I still love them all

Okay, about halfway through *The Deer and the Cauldron.* Trinket (as he's called in the translation) may not be the hero we need... or deserve... but he is the hero... technically. Gotta love a smooth criminal.

See this is a classic Mandela effect. Actually the first line is, "Hey Moby! I got your white whale, right here... Meet my house spouse, man's a real cannibal."
