We are improving our school allotment pond this winter to make it more wildlife friendly, which meant that this week we had to relocate the *dozens* of frogs living in it, including the humungous Big Red. The children were very gentle and careful.

No Santa at our Christmas Fair - instead the Winter Fairy graced us with her presence in our beautiful grotto! Thanks all who came to visit and helped us raise money for our little school and for helping us build our community.

Last month our Artist of the Month was Wassily Kandinsky. Linden class enjoyed hearing about how listening to music while he painted influenced his art. They then listened to some classical music while they produced their own version of his famous Colour Study circles piece.

There was this beautiful scene in the school garden this morning awaiting the children. We allowed them to play out in the snow this morning for a little while as it’s such a rare event!

As part of their local history block, Class 4 completed a homework project exploring their family history, which was then presented to the class. The children drew their family tree for at least three generations, brought in photos and artefacts and shared family stories.
