Won't deny it's fun to play but the grind and progression is forced to be slow and punishes you for building multiple teams, even more so than the hoyo games.

Making a really big choices matter game is a whole beast, the number of scenes and text would be insane (and also the dev cost). Something heavily animated like Dispatch would be difficult to do that way... although visual novels with no voice acting it would be far easier to do
