Received World Food Programme Deputy E.D Carl Skau, who visited Baidoa today to assess ongoing humanitarian efforts, progress made & efforts to improve service delivery. Grateful to World Food Programme for supporting our people during the difficult times. We remain committed to address any challenges faced.

We spoke on the phone with Mr. Richard H. Riley, the U.S. Ambassador to Somalia. During our conversation, we discussed the overall security and humanitarian situation in the country.

Today in Mogadishu, I met with @JamesSwan, the Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Somalia. We had a constructive discussion on Somalia’s political landscape, the upcoming Election, and security situation. Together, we aim to advance stability and progress.

Today, I signed the Safeguarding Humanitarian Assistance Law, which improves delivery systems and increases accountability. We are dedicated to fostering an environment and establishing frameworks that enable our partners to operate effectively in providing essential services.

Nairobi-I had a productive meeting with the Ambassadors of Denmark,Sweden, & Deputy Ambassador of Germany,We had constructive discussions about the security & humanitarian challenges confronting SWS. I conveyed my appreciation for their continued support & encouragement.
