All motions in support of migrants were ruled out at #LabourConference24 Leaving only one that endorses more brutality. Trade unionists demand Labour-affiliated unions stand up for working-class solidarity + migrants' rights by opposing! Pls sign&share docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…
Nottingham East's Nadia Whittome MP supporting the call to vote NO to the 'Border Security Command' motion at #LabourConference24 this afternoon. We need safe routes and asylum rights! labourfreemovement.org/border-securit…
Spent most of my Labour Conference Tuesday campaigning and leafleting against the border command motion. Happy to know the motion has been withdrawn. Join Labour for Free Movement for a fairer immigration policy!
Brilliant to see this anti-migrant motion withdrawn from Labour conference, thanks to campaigners Labour for Free Movement The public & The Labour Party's own members, don't want to carry on with the last Gov's cruel politics - they want to welcome people seeking sanctuary! labourfreemovement.org/migrant-rights…
Update on this: The anti-migrant motion was pulled last minute. Unite declared they would oppose it & I assume, what with losing on the winter fuel allowance, it was a humiliation too far to risk losing this vote too. Impressive organising by Labour for Free Movement who deserve a follow💪
Zoe Gardner Thank you Zoe and all who supported! We’ll hold an organising call on 10 October at 7pm, to discuss next steps in this fight with Labour leadership. Please help us spread the word and register at bit.ly/LCFMOct24
