This is indistinguishable from a far right leaflet from a few years ago.

I really want to feign shock at it. But this is simply the logical conclusion of making your main point of difference with Braverman that you would 'send them back' more efficiently and cost-effectively.

I'd probably pipe down about integrity if I was running a factional operation in support of the guy who promised these.

I see the Tory right is, once again, losing it about the European Court of Human Rights.

This is your reminder that the only two countries to leave the ECHR are (a) Greece under military rule, and (b) Putin's Russia after the invasion of Ukraine.

Erdoğan's Turkey is a member.

Condemning Iran is fine.

Just as long as you don't have more condemnation for Iranian drone strikes - 99 percent of which were intercepted - than you do for the ongoing slaughter of tens of thousands of Gazans, just under half of them children.

Oh...

The government's 'independent' advisor of political violence is open about the fact that his work as an arms-trade lobbyist has hardened his views against the right to protest. My profile of Lord Walney/John Woodcock: novaramedia.com/2024/03/20/mee…

On our banners and in our songs, let the slogan of our movement ring out:

🎼🚩MORE OF THE SAME 🚩🎼

You common people have already endured the worst squeeze on wages for 200 years. So what's another lost decade if it lets me and my mates get stinking rich?

The idea that Owen Jones - who has a big following among a huge unrepresented bloc of voters - is 'irrelevant' is obviously mad.

But believing in the End of History doesn't just mean 'the left is irrelevant', but that *it always will be*. They literally have to react like this

An important contribution to the debate on how to stop the famine crime being committed against the civilian population in Gaza. With the world having a ‘responsibility to protect’ against war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity, what can be done to get food to Gaza?

Blimey. 98% must be one of the highest Yes votes in a national ballot ever.

A real achievement given how long this dispute has been running. In a sane world it would force the government back to the table.

I think this is broadly right.

A: 'What do we say?'
B: 'I don't know, what do millionaires want to hear?'
A: 'We embrace the dynamism of the unregulated market?'
B: 'Too mad. Too obviously debunked by history.'
A: 'Thatcher? We all love Thatcher?'
B: 'Sure, whatever, go for it.'

Words fail me. The Tories are running a campaign to dehumanise and scapegoat migrants. Labour's answer? Let's hire 1,000 people to deport them faster.

Has no one told them - after DECADES of doing it - that pandering to the right on immigration only makes them stronger?

A mad realisation:

The miners' strike is historically closer to the Allied liberation of Paris than it is to today.

'We've given £10m back to someone because he's a racist' is a bad outcome. So is 'we're the government and we're funded by racists'.

Have it either way.

I should say that since I said this, I have heard a number of rumours which do point to it. I maintain that Sunak would have to be mad to do it, and I think it's unlikely, but I would no longer be as astonished.
