LAYP got a shoutout today in the House Education Committee for its efforts on HB 676. The bill helps protect students by preventing the withholding of their transcripts by schools for financial reason. And it passed out of the committee in a 11-3 vote today🎊 #FreeTheTranscipts

HB 676 seeks to prevent schools from withholding transcripts from students who still owe debt to the school, but an amendment would exempt private universities, like Tulane, and the for-profit institutions the bill targets. #lalege #lagov bit.ly/2zkPYVo
