🏆WESTERN CHAMPS🏆Congratulations to the Genesee Rapids who advance to the 2025 NYCBL Championship Series Tuesday⚾️Genesee Rapids

Congratulations Rapids! The Rapids captured their first ever NYCBL Western Division Championship and trip to the NYCBL Championship Series with a 6-5 win over Dansville this afternoon!

Scoring two in the bottom of the 8th, the Rapids came back to defeat Dansville 6-5. Troy Chamberlin (3-4, R, RBI), Eli Huebner (2-4, R, RBI), Rene Vega III (2-4, R, RBI) and Zachary Gibson (2-4) led the way. Lucas Alexander and Seth Cooper closed the game out again for Genesee.

Game 1 of the NYCBL Championship Series goes to the Genesee Rapids. Game 2 is tomorrow in Syracuse at 4pm followed by Game 3 if necessary ⚾️

The player of the night for Tuesday, July 29th is Gage Wheaton!

Congratulations to Seth, Blake and Nathaniel for this honor. Seth was the league leader in saves (11) and had a 1.74 ERA (5th best in NYCBL). Blake was tied for the league lead in wins (5) and had 43 Ks (T-5 in NYCBL). Nathaniel was 3-1 with a 2.58 ERA and 30 Ks.
