Today, state & local leaders united to support the stabilization of SF public schools. Thanks to BOE President Matt Alexander, there’s hope for the future. With fellow UESF-endorsed candidates Parag Gupta, Jaime Huling, & John Jersin, educators can trust our voices will be heard!

We need leaders who really represent their communities like Senator Lidia Thorpe does in “Victoria” (aka stolen land in what is known by some as Australia). I don’t need senators using floor speeches to show fascist fan fiction (e.g. Regan riding a dinosaur), they need to do something.

SF has largely held off the school “turnaround” to charter phenom that ravaged urban districts in the early 2000’s (under Obama.) With Mayor Breed’s appointment of a charter shill, Phil Kim, to the school board, and coup d’etas with Supe Su, we can expect to see charters expand.

This is a must-read. When Rashida Tlaib questioned potential bias, Dana Nessel was quick to label it antisemitism. Now we learn that University of Michigan regents bypassed local prosecutors so that Nessel would pursue harsher action against Gaza protesters, given their close ties.

CNN has played a central role in normalizing this kind of open anti-Arab, anti-Muslim, and anti-Palestinian hate, and it’s sadly totally unsurprising to see such disgusting statements aired so casually on its network now.

Aaron Peskin, the Board of Supervisors president in San Francisco, has been gaining ground in recent polls and is betting his momentum will continue to grow. His apparent rise in the mayoral election is raising alarm in the city's moderate camp. trib.al/FO2HMBN

Greta could’ve chosen to just be a climate darling, and not put a target on her back. But instead she’s choosing to use her voice to call out the evils of imperialism. Which is how you know she’s a real deal environmental activist—she sees the interconnectedness of these issues.

A federal jury convicted a former Kentucky police detective of using excessive force on Breonna Taylor yesterday. Accountability is good, yet Breonna should still be alive. She should still be enjoying life with her loved ones. Justice is being alive. Say her name.
