Today on Memorial Day, as you enjoy your three-day weekend, please take time to remember and honor the service members who gave their lives to defend our country. We are forever grateful to them and their families for their sacrifices they made to protect our democracy.

I visited Alicante, Spain last month with my family. I knew #cityhallselfieday was approaching so I had to take a selfie in front of the beautiful Ayuntamiento Alicante and of course Calle Mayor!

I’m very disappointed to hear that the functions of the Subnational Diplomacy Unit of the Department of State will not continue. They provided services to state and local leaders across 55 U.S. states and territories.  They helped promote trade missions & inward investments.
