I will die repeating: this was *always* bullshit. It was knowably bullshit at the time. The lesson from subsequent events is not that Rudy changed, it's that the press should be embarrassed at what an easy fucking mark it is.

Fully agree that the choice between Tory & Labour, presented as it usually is as a stark binary, is bleak.

But it's a false choice. You don't *have* to vote for either.

We need more Green MPs. We can get them if people refuse to be browbeaten by the 2-party duopoly.

Yesterday, the Islington Menorah was vandalised in an appalling antisemitic attack.

At short notice last night, we joined one another to rekindle the lights in solidarity.

Racism is not welcome in our community — our diversity will always be a source of pride and strength.

The papers are not in any kind of mess right now. They have dictated governance of the country since Leveson and they will crush the next one effortlessly, whenever they decide the time is right. This judgement will cause financial pain but otherwise, they’ll just ignore it.

It’s always helpful to be reminded exactly who it’s acceptable for the whole mob to fly into with a succession of leg-breaking challenges, and whom is a special golden person to whom rude words are cruel, hurtful and damaging to democracy itself.
