In terms of severe thunderstorms today, it's mainly a damaging wind threat with linear storm clusters. Marginal tornado threat exists in the circled area given favorable helicity and shear values. Severe weather finally calms down in the region after today.

Flurries across northeast Ohio this morning in what could be the final snow of the season. Another colder period around April 16-18th. Should be cold enough for frost/freeze, but will there be enough moisture to squeeze out some flurries, though.

Based on storm coverage and parameters, the highest tornado threat today should be in the circled area from NE'rn Iowa to southern Lower Michigan. Strongest tornadoes in the western part, as storms will congeal into a bowing segment by the time they reach Michigan.

For the Great Lakes region today, watching this area circled where the strongest storms should be. Large hail and some tornadoes possible, with a higher chance across northern Ohio.

Long-lived supercellular storm with a deep hail core moving through the southern Cleveland metro. Garfield Heights, Warrensville Heights, Bedford, Solon, Chagrin Falls all in line for a potential hail storm. #Cleveland

In terms of severe thunderstorms today, watching this area from far eastern Ohio to western New York where storms could be the strongest. But still, today's threat doesn't look too crazy.

12 days ago I mentioned the chance of snow again for NE Ohio behind a strong cold front around this time. Now, hi-res models showing rain showers changing to graupel/snow tonight, and could be briefly heavy. #Cleveland #OHwx

I believe theres a marginal chance of severe thunderstorms in the circled area of Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan today. Isolated severe wind gusts would be the main threat.

Calendar flipped to May, but northeast Ohio STILL has a chance for snow. 18z NAM and HRRR showing snow mix with rain overnight tonight into early tomorrow morning, May 2nd, especially higher elevations. Both models, especially the NAM, are likely too bullish with snow.

If Cavs lose tomorrow night, it's probably time to trade Donovan Mitchell, as much as I appreciate him. Perhaps start building around Mobley, while remaining competitive.
