Please support this cause by Mr Brands. It is a very important food campaign to help buy food for starving families during the Lockdown. Daily I m receiving messages from people asking for money to buy food. That is how bad things are. So I fully endorse the Mr Brands campaign RT

Episode 9 was a bit underwhelming for me. Things were haphazard. How are things in Noku's household after Man Tawa's skit? How did Man Tawa just fall back into Noku's arms without flinching? Noku is still besties with Chido? I NEED ANSWERS #WadiwaWepaMoyo

Tobacco Forex- The Farmer's raw deal

1)Under the new framework tobacco farmers will get 50% of their funds in forex. Assuming last year's average price of USD$2,03 holds true for 2020, the farmer gets USD$1,02 in forex......
ZimBollar (@zimbollar) 's Twitter Profile Photo

2) The remaining 50%(USD$1,02) is paid into the farmer's local account at a Fixed exchange rate of ZWL$25: USD$1. The farmer receives ZWL$25,50 per every KG sold!

ZimBollar (@zimbollar) 's Twitter Profile Photo

3) NOW here is the Catch. The ZWL$25,50 could have been ZWL$51 had the farmer been paid 100% foreign currency and allowed the chance to access a fair exchange rate of ZWL$50 in the Alternative Market.

ZimBollar (@zimbollar) 's Twitter Profile Photo

4) As a result the farmer makes a loss of USD$0,51c per every KG of tobacco sold at the floors on account of an unfair exchange rate. This figure constitutes 25% of the USD$ value per KG that the farmer gets at the floor. It no doubts affects the viability of farming operations!

For most of us, it’s our mothers’ prayers which have always followed us! We are prayer items for our mothers and that has sustained, protected some of us this far. Happy #MothersDay to all Mothers

“First they came for ZAPU & I didn’t speak out— I wasn’t ZAPU. Then they came for human rights activists & I didn’t speak out—I wasn’t a human rights activist. Then they came for MDC MPs & I didn’t speak out—I wasn’t MDC. Then they came for me—no one was left to speak for me.”
