this is a scene from a twenty year old film called 'yuva' in 2004, this would have been probably considered futuristic. but what they couldn't have predicted in 2004 is that this scene would someday actually play out in real life - but on a discord server

Sachin never had magnificent highs like Lara: no triple, never hit 500 runs in a series. Sachin’s gargantuan achievement was sustaining such a high plateau over so many years across both formats based on amazing technique. Will stand the test of time.

Breakfast with Champions doesn't hit as it used to before. Mostly because the guests are not really champions but just starting their careers, how you gonna get a 1 hour interview with Gill & Abhishek full of their experiences and moments when they have barely played for 5 years

This is truly nuts. A 4 week window before one of the year's most satisfying big screen experiences hits streaming. Y'all are shooting yourself in the foot and definitely leaving theatrical money on the table.

In Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), the director gave Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet completely different directions. To Kate: “Go as big as you want, this is a comedy.” To Jim: “This is drama, not comedy.”

One Battle After Another is now available on HBO Max. We’re nearly at the end of 2025 and this is still the best film I’ve seen released this year. I think it’s a masterpiece & one of the decade’s best films as well. I’ve seen this a total of 3 times but more rewatches to come.

when people say Pluribus (or any TV show) is slow, they mean they hate that it doesn't have rat-a-tat dialogue explaining what's happening onscreen, which would allow them to second-screen, like Netflix has trained them to with their shit shows
