My hot take is that most of us have not adequately processed the trauma of the pandemic. And our sprawling, unprocessed trauma chews away at our brains in myriad ways that make us anxious about why we can’t seem to live our lives as instinctively or as joyously as we did in 2019.

Can you not draw conclusions on changes in mortality, births, disease cases etc based on absolute numbers (not a question)

The plot you’re showing (Anders Hviid @andershviid.bsky.social) is a model of incidental deaths that’s now way off compared to the death certificate data, see x.com/KT_Baek/status… Statens Serum Institut have not included this model in the latest “tendensrapport”, 2 Feb. Maybe PandemiX Center Rasmus Kristoffer Pedersen can confirm?
