It was announced today that Dr. Jeffrey Hord, Director of Hematology Oncology Akron Children's , has been elected as Vice President of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology Oncology (American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology ). He will become President of this national society of PHO physicians in 2024.

Very excited that Kent State students are holding a dance marathon, Flashathon, today. Hope they have lots of fun while raising funds to support the Showers Center ⁦KSU Flashathon⁩

Thanks to all who organized, participated in and supported yesterday’s KSU Flashathon! It was very successful!

💛💙 we raised over $17,000 for Akron Children's and Showers Center for Child Cancer & Blood Disorders so grateful for our participants for helping us get to this point and changing kids lives 💙💛
