Inorganic Chemistry has always been an area of neglect in the secondary science curriculum so when students get to the A-level they find the concept hard. We spent the whole morning carrying out practicals to reinforce the conceptional understanding of colour chemistry. #KSABLife

Modelling is key to understanding complex concepts in science. Whether it is an explanation in the book or a physical model, student learning is enhanced with models. #KSABLife #KSABEnquiry #ksabmastery

We were reacting alcohol and group 1 alkali metals today in Chemistry. The colour change was incredible but the student explaination was even better. #ksablife Brett Girven Michael Bloy

When setting up circuits Year 7 students were asked about the right setup for a voltmeter - 100% of students voted for the diagram on the left. Which is a common misconception. Addressing this early on means better scientist in the future. #KSABLife Michael Bloy Brett Girven

Using Edtech we were able to see crystal of copper sulphate growing. Students usually follow a method to make copper sulphate crystal. Today we pushed it by producing our own method and explaining copper sulphate crystal growth. #KSABLife #KSABmastery Michael Bloy Brett Girven

Our lovely Year 8 students selling the bath bombs they made in science! They collected 270AED in the process. Entrepreneurship and science go hand in hand and is what STEM should be about. #teamscience #ksablife Kings' Al Barsha Sci
