I have heard people say all to often that we need to just go back to normal. Adjustment isn't the same for everyone! So many people live with #anxiety , which makes adjusting hard enough. Imagine living with a communication or speech disorder? Really puts things into perspective.

Stroke Onward's co-founder Debra Meyerson and Executive Director Flannery O'Neil had the pleasure of joining fellow #strokesurvivor Jerry Wald for a great conversation about life after stroke on Facebook live. Check it out and let us know what you think. youtube.com/watch?v=tki3iO…

I loved this video! I actually just saw Molly's video today in one of my classes. We are learning how to build great public speaking skills. I think Molly did a wonderful job. Her talk was also wonderful information for new and upcoming parents! Thanks for sharing Sharynne McLeod

After talking with several of my friends with children, many of them hadn't even thought about how big of an impact stimulation for their child was for their motor and cognitive development. This is a great read to better understand how you can prevent speech and motor delays

Do you know, or are you, someone who has struggled with a speech disorder? What was their, or your, biggest hurdle to overcome?

As a student looking forward to becoming a future SLP, I love reading tips and advice to help me be a better SLP and positive ways I can build up parents in already challenging situations.

75%-80% of children in schools in need of mental health services do not receive it. Those who get assistance, 70%-80% get it at school. School Psychologists play an important role in schools #SchoolPsychologist #YouthMentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #BackToSchool

To all my SLP or Health/Nutrition followers: One question I get asked all the time as a student is, "Do you want to work with children or adults?". My honest answer still is, I have no idea! Besides interning, how did you all decide?

In my class A&P for speech and language, we learned about the restricted frenulum. While watching Big Bang Theory I noticed Sheldon has one! I never noticed before. Anyone else get excited when they notice things around them they just learned in class?

Earlier this semester in my speech and hearing science class I learned how important it was for parents to interact and communicate with their children often. Here is a great study I found on the impact of coaching CCP's in areas of high childhood poverty!

Today is the last day of my ASU class. I learned so much about health communication and how to use social media to research and promote science based facts. What is one technique you love using to promote topics?
