I've studied the book. Now to watch the movie! The Open University OU Arts & Social Sciences #a233
#a233 official start date today. Super excited to get started! Let's go! The Open University OU Arts & Social Sciences
A thoroughly enjoyable week learning about Hardy's FFTMC and how he uses the narrator, characterisation, dialogue, and imagery in his writing. I've enjoyed learning about realism and finding out about how the novel was written The Open University OU Arts & Social Sciences #a233
I thoroughly enjoyed rereading FFTMC this week. I've worked on my close reading techniques and learned about the use of literary devices. I also enjoyed learning about the reality and fiction of Wessex and pastoral literature The Open University OU Arts & Social Sciences #a233
Last week, in my study on FFTMC, I learnt about serialisation in The Cornhill Magazine, its effect on the book, developed my skills as a reader and creator of criticism, and looked at realism. Currently immersed in Wharton TCOTC The Open University OU Arts & Social Sciences #a233
This week I have enjoyed rereading TCOTC and learnt about 20c New York. I worked on my analysis skills and looked at POV, focalisation, FIS, + comparing/contrasting. All followed up by a fab tutorial w/ Dr Shafquat Towheed and Isabel The Open University OU Arts & Social Sciences #a233
I have enjoyed learning about the social realist elements of TCOTC and how Wharton uses narrative devices and irony in her work. I have also continued working on my close reading and feel ready to make a start on my first TMA The Open University OU Arts & Social Sciences #a233
And it's gone! I thoroughly enjoyed the last week of studying TCOTC and have spent this week working on TMA 01. Onwards and upwards... The Open University OU Arts & Social Sciences #a233
