The thing about a “return to normalcy” is that normal sucked balls. Covid exposed all the cracks and fissures in our society that were always there. It seems the folks who crave normalcy want to cover up those cracks and go back to pretending they’re not. It’s infuriating.

State takeovers are about race and power... it is literally inconceivable that the state would consider taking over a district that is majority white.

So let me get this straight, all year they’ve been screaming about how they can’t trust teachers. We teach CRT! We are groomers! We are indoctrinators! But now they trust us enough with a gun to protect kids from the next mass shooter?

Despite being stuck at home all week with Covid, I'm so excited to be able to attend the #MassDemsConvention remotely to cast my vote for Sonia Chang-Díaz today!!! I'm a first time delegate who watched Sonia fight for the SOA Act to try to level the education playing field.

Watching Quentin Palfrey speak at the #massdems2022 convention and feeling pumped. His support of public education and outspoken rejection of state receivership of BPS are two major reasons I'm casting my vote for him.

When you spend your career pushing for change, it can make those in power uncomfortable. And sometimes you pay a price for that. But, friends, that’s a price I’m willing to pay — because we know the cost of inaction is so much higher.
