This coverage of the White Stripes lawsuit against Trump makes an important point that often gets obscured in reporting on the many copyright complaints against him: if you're using the music in a recorded video (as opposed to a live campaign event), there's a lot less gray area.

Terrible Lufthansa USA experience from Frankfurt to DC. Two absolutely inedible (even unidentifiable?) meals, they apparently didn’t bother to load my luggage, and now have us waiting at Dulles in a small, hot room for over 1/2 an hour for the bus to the terminal. 👎

Professor friends: I'm considering compiling my own materials for class using a combination of open-source texts and my own stuff. Is there a recommended software/site to use for this kind of cutting and compilation? Thanks.

"...in her decision on Wednesday, Judge Analisa Torres said that federal royalty rate rules clearly allowed Spotify to legally claim the lower rate, rejecting MLC’s argument that the company was not actually offering a “bundle” of services." billboard.com/pro/spotify-be…
