“How much does it cost doc” One of the most common, important questions posed by patients daily. And we have NO idea. Lacking price transparency information is one of the most frustrating things as a primary care physician. How do we use technology to solve this? #PCP #med

Patient informed me. Their surgeon uses an external PA (APP) who doesn’t use insurance. So the patient has to pay an upfront cost of $350 for the PA, or the surgery will be cancelled. Is this a common practice? It’s a huge out of pocket cost for a lot of patients.
