One of the many reasons I will always support #EndSARS movement. My senior in Kings College, Lagos, Ugochukwu Ozuah was killed by police 5 days after his wedding. Continue to RIP Prefect Ozuah. Service to the living, honour to the dead. Floreat. 🙏🏾✊🏾 #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigera

I want to rant about football. No, not the beautiful game we all watch on TV. Something else I find increasingly disturbing as my kids get older. I wonder if the way the sport is structured is worsening whatever racial/class divides we have in this country.

Dr Yemi Kale 4. Hard to believe but ALL the other states have their IGR at less than the INTEREST accruing on their domestic and foreign debts.

Dr Yemi Kale 5. Nasarawa, Kebbi, Ekiti have ratios as high as 300-500% & Borno, Zamfara, Ebonyi, Imo, Osun, Bayelsa & Gombe are between 200-300%

Dr Yemi Kale Kemi Adeosun 7. Basically, this data tells us that if we took ALL the IGR of each state, only 8 states can meet ONLY INTEREST payments on their debt.

Dr Yemi Kale Kemi Adeosun 8. We're just talking of interest, not principal, salaries, infrastucture nor development of the states...just interest & they can't survive

Dr Yemi Kale Kemi Adeosun 11. This is an illustration of mortgaging future generations & I doubt if a more worrying picture of the state of the states can be painted.

Dr Yemi Kale Kemi Adeosun 12. just had to add this...interesting to point out that total state govt debt is about N4.4trn & TOTAL annual states IGR is ONLY N800bn 😰
