We have implemented the draft spec of NTPv5 in ntpd-rs (our NTP in Rust project). But why do that, if NTPv5 hasn't been stabilized yet? Well, reasons! Read about it in Tamme's blog: tweedegolf.nl/en/blog/112/im…

Have you ever wondered how and when async Rust functions actually perform work? Folkert and Rick walk you through every step of creating an async runtime, including a reactor that responds to OS events. Read the blog here: tweedegolf.nl/en/blog/114/bu… #Rust #rustlang

Love complaining and/or voicing your opinion? Great! The KiCad PCB team has a survey running to get more info about how people use KiCad and other design tools, and what they like and dislike about them. The survey will run until May. app.formbricks.com/s/clt62soc802a…

Overheard at the water-cooler: "... It is clear that C/C++ is the asbestos of software, and that a sanitation is needed." 😅

One week into "how hard can it be to implement DTLS 1.3" and I must say, the RFCs are awesome! 🚀 The answer is though not very hard, just a lot of details to track 😅 Each step is nicely documented. Side note, it's only the PSK with ECDHE part I'm implementing for now.

the stream-based structure is such a joy to work with, being able to input any external pipeline latency you want and have it _just work_ with no off-by-1's and fiddling with FSMs is so refreshing

We've measured performance for Statime (our Rust implementation of the Precision Time Protocol) comparable to Linux PTP! Read David's explanation of the setup and results here: tweedegolf.nl/en/blog/129/st… #security #timesynchronization #digitalinfrastructure

We're still celebrating this achievement: Our Rust implementation of the Network Time Protocol, ntpd-rs, has been deployed at Let's Encrypt. Prossimo's blog: memorysafety.org/blog/ntpd-rs-d… #infrastructure #security #rust #rustlang
