Doctors are being paid 22% less in real terms than they were in 2008. In England, fully qualified doctors are saving lives for £17.56/hr. They’re asking for just £22.67/hr - the rate their work deserves. That’s not a pay rise. That’s pay restoration. Doctors, send your ballot

There is a further problem with Urgent Treatment Centres beyond Doctor substitution, patient safety concerns They are hugely more expensive than actual GP appts GPs have had funding cut whilst alternatives have been funded by NHSE & 2’ care in the community approaches to care

This year, 700 doctors found out their job details late - with hundreds having their contractual right to 8 weeks notice broken. Many are still waiting to find out where they'll be working. This must change, and it’s the government’s responsibility to ensure it does.

In truth, our welfare system is increasingly the state subsidising employers who pay poverty wages, landlords charging unaffordable rents and corporations extracting vast profits, all at society's expense.

Birmingham’s bin workers have been on strike for 6 months against £8,000 pay cuts. In that time, Birmingham City Council’s leader, John Cotton, hasn’t attended ANY negotiations. Please share and tell us what you think of LeaderofBirmingham’s refusal to personally negotiate 🙏

Wes Streeting is talking about training many more GPs. Lots of GP trainees coming out of their training schemes this summer face unemployment because he will not give the NHS funds to offer them jobs. What Streeting says and does are totally different things.

Already over 6000 Neighbourhood Health Centres in England GP Practices have lost 20% real terms funding since 2016, if they hadn’t they would be better able to provide the care patients need Still 31m appts/month Fund GP practices properly & they’ll do the rest Wes Streeting
