What if each day were lived for Christ? If all I am is from Him, His ways, His truth, His life rather than the ways of the world where work & wealth determine worth…“Then I considered all that my hands had done and the toil … and behold, all was vanity”(Ecc 2:11)

Sometimes I just wish Jesus would be clear as to what it means to be His disciple… “So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:33) So is Jesus saying there is a cost to discipleship?#notwhatmanywouldcallthebestlifenow

For the disciple of Christ is a “return to normalcy” really what should be desired? The act of turning from God toward the world is (& has been for some time) the “normal.” A return to this? What if we sought not to return to the garden but to go beyond? To be the Kingdom now?

Today “sameness” asserts itself by going through (obliterating) otherness so to procure “diversity”. Today we “eliminate atopic otherness in favour of consumable, indeed heterotopic differences.” (Han, The Expulsion of the Other)

Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” He means He is truth. He is the way. He is the life… Not our ideologies…
