The world saw how Americans braved a pandemic to vote in record numbers, overcame fears of violence and stood up to a leader who tried to discredit the process to stay in power.  US institutions faced their biggest test and passed.  This is the lesson other countries will see.

Just finished a 2-hour interview on a sensitive topic in science. I’m exhausted but also so grateful to be a science journalist. It’s a job that allows you to be a science nerd with a stranger and talk like you’ve known them for years. So rewarding.
