People in debt who access financial advice will be given 60 days' protection from creditors while they get help addressing their debts. For those people who are receiving mental health crisis treatment, they can be offered this protection for the duration of their crisis

EVICTION CRISIS Thousands of renters on furlough or behind with their rent will lose the support in place during the pandemic. An estimated 686,000 tenants still on furlough and 440,000 in rental arrears could face eviction as pandemic support measures end.

PIP AWARDS BEING REVIEWED BY DWP In November 2017, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions lost a judgment which could potentially affect millions of PIP claimants - meaning that they could be entitled to a higher award than they had been given.

The DWP said that it would look at all awards and make adjustments, backdating the award if applicable. This review was halted because of the pandemic, but had now started again. However, what seems to be happening is that all PIP claimants, regardless of their disability or

health condition, is receiving a letter from the DWP stating that they have "looked at your award again, and it is right and there is no change". However, for people with mental health conditions and sensory impairments, this is not the case, as the ruling specifically affects

UNIVERSAL CREDIT £20 UPLIFT The £20 uplift awarded to UC claimants during the pandemic will finish at the end of September. The only notification you will get about this drop in your benefit will be in your journal that you will be getting around £85 less as from October.
