Wouldn't it be nice if "America First" referred to the mission of elevating America by, for example, treating healthcare and mental health care as a universal right, prioritizing economic opportunity for families in poverty, and putting sensible gun safety laws in place?

My father started this junior golf tournament 43 years ago and it’s still going strong today! He would’ve been happy to see all the local youth here in the #Niagara region that showed up to play today. ⛳️ #NiagaraFalls

If you know an LISW or LPC who is interested in providing CBT (often via telehealth) to traumatic injury patients with PTSD or depression, please share our position opening. It is listed as a Temp position but we feel it has high potential to be long-term. careers.pageuppeople.com/756/cw/en-us/j…

I never say no to reasonable requests of my time from colleagues. But this week, I said no 3 times. It felt crappy, but not as crappy as it would've felt to fall short of time-sensitive goals that I have been telling myself are a priority. A tough, but necessary mindset shift.

Big, big thank you to Mount Pleasant PD for the help this morning when my son's car broke down at the peak of the 65 mph Daniel Island bridge in foggy conditions. It was a scary situation and I am thankful that he is safe thanks to their support.

A first step toward evaluating/improving equity in our trauma mental health program. Black and White patients in our trauma center had similar levels of engagement in mental health follow-up. But there is much more work to do. Grateful for Donte's leadership and mentorship!

Guidance from JAMA on the use of ChatGPT and other AI tech in preparation of papers. I wonder if they should go a hair further by asking for a statement from authors that declares that AI was or was not used (rather than only recommending one when used). jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/…

Why don't healthcare systems or patients use apps and other digital health tech as much as we hope? This new paper offer one of the most elegant figures to explain via an implementation science framework. Lots of targets for improvement we can all work on: jmir.org/2023//e48000/

Our paper in Am J Psychiatry is finally out! We found that our Bounce Back Now app was associated with improved PTSD, depressive, and sleep outcomes among disaster-affected adults vs an enhanced usual care app. BBN is now freely available in English and Spanish in the app stores.
