As you're thinking about classroom assessments next year, remember that we grade against criteria for standards, outcomes, learning goals, i.e., evidence of learning, NOT the vehicle used to deliver that evidence. So, unless we're teaching the assessment format itself, whether or

We spend 50% more hours in school than Finland. They get 15 mins of recess every hour. They have NO standardized tests until the PISA in HS & they outperform us every time. When we canโ€™t give students more recess, play, or Arts, but make them sit longer hours, we have it wrong!

We've *all* been conditioned to think that getting the right answer means we're good at math. But "we must create brave spaces where students trust they will not be put down when they take intellectual risks and make mistakes," Stefan Singh writes. edut.to/44NJfgB

At some point, you will disappoint others in your life. Not because you want to but because that is life. When you do, own up to it and and give the other person space to talk about it. We will never be perfect but that does not mean we cannot spread kindness. Good night moon.

The Diamondbacks are down 3-1 in the World Series. Iโ€™m not saying they canโ€™t, however, It will be very difficult for Arizona to come back from this. Only the most special type of ball club has the makeup, chemistry, talent and perseverance to make it happen. Any team that can
