Black newborn children are 40 percent more likely to be delivered prematurely than all other babies. It’s past time for Congress to pass my PREEMIE Act and renew lifesaving research to give mothers and babies a healthy start in life.

Today the House of Representatives supported #BlanketChange by unanimously voting to pass the #PREEMIEAct! This is the first step in reauthorizing preterm birth research and aiding programs to prevent preterm birth. We hope the Senate will pass it as well in 2024!

Two million parents and young children could be turned away from the #WIC program if Congress doesn’t fully fund it this year. Tell Congress to prioritize families in the budget p2a.co/nLuFTxs#FundWIC

The House just passed a budget resolution aiming to cut $880 billion—majority from Medicaid—over the next decade. This threatens healthcare for 80 million people. These cuts are drastic and dangerous and would impact the health of pregnant women, moms and babies.
