When we doubled our minimum wage to $70k, we didn't raise fees 1 cent on our small-business customers. How? I slashed my CEO pay, we saved big on costs like turnover/training and our happy employees drove in more business. A higher minimum wage can work without higher prices.

The minimum wage is now worth $5.94 an hour, adjusted for inflation since it was set 12 years ago. I always hear "how will businesses pay a higher minimum wage?" but never "why weren't businesses saving up money while they paid sub-minimum wages for 12 years?"
