I love this! I feel my Ss don’t really understand what solutions are because we tend to skip the conceptual development of finding solutions for a function and then plotting them. When I first started teaching, this is how it was taught. Now we skip ahead to slope-int form.

Wow, this young man did a fantastic job of articulating the same rascism I was shocked to encounter when I first began teaching in the district he is discussing. We would all do well to reflect on his words and ask ourselves how our silence has negatively impacted Ss of color.
