Here is the key section of that train wreck of an interview by Robert Jenrick on #r4today. Robinson: Did you raise it when you were Home Office minister? Jenrick: We talked about it... I wasn't... My portfolio... But we talked about it. Only a minute, if you can bear it. ~AA

It was brilliant talking to my old boss Andrew Dilnot on social care. We agreed that all governments have been disgraceful in their neglect of this, that there is no need to spend 3 years on yet another review, and that this govt needs to make a decision and implement change

Tamworth not getting a replay which would likely bank them in excess of £1m after getting to 90 minutes at 0-0 is all wrong. Either go straight to pens or give them the replay. Bin extra time from football.

i think every anti-WFH argument i’ve ever seen invokes “isolation” as a reason commuting into offices is apparently vital but a societal push to reducing work hours and promoting engagement with local community activities instead never seems to be suggested, i wonder why that is

There is a very online type of person in Britain who thinks Donald Tusk saying he hopes the UK rejoins the EU one day is “foreign interference”, while at the same time actively hoping Donald Trump directly intervenes to remove a British government that was voted in 6 months ago.

We can’t let yet another London cultural landmark become yet another slab of corporate filler. We’re losing this city. Sign here.

💥Peter Kellner: "I quite like using numbers to make sense of the what is going on. Yet sometimes they are not enough. If they were, the fact that Brexit has cost Britain’s economy 4-5% of GDP would be a major national scandal." 🧵👇 1/

We knew it, but seeing the data laid out – it's still shocking: higher taxes for most, deep cuts to Medicaid & SNAP—all to fund tax breaks for the top 1%. It's difficult to fully grasp the scale of the con being perpetrated on Americans right now by the Trump administration.

Londoners in April will face water bills up by £16 a month, or 40%ish, and energy bills going up around another £10 a month. Voters really, consistently hate rising prices and inflation. Labour can’t really take their eyes off this stuff, even with everything else going on.

I realise I’m a bore on this subject but this channel holds a UK broadcast licence and is thus legally obliged to observe “due accuracy” and “due impartiality”. It obviously doesn’t and can’t, as it’s a crude rightwing propaganda outlet. So Ofcom really must rescind its licence.
