Yesterday at our #kidicalmass we had 200 kids & families in North Tyneside asking for #SafeStreetsNow They ❤️ cycling on the 1st section of the Sunrise Cycleway 🌅🚲😊 made possible by North Tyneside Council & funded by Active Travel England Chris Boardman CBE Sustrans North Thank you 🫶🏼

Thank you Street Life in North Tyneside for another fun #KidicalMass ride. We join the call to election candidates to make it safer to walk & wheel by urgently delivering: school streets, low traffic routes into/around town, more 20mph limits, raised crossings & priority to active travellers.

Please can we have active travel that works for children and their families? This means urban routes which connect homes to shops to schools etc - not isolated waggonways. We urgently need protected cycle lanes, low traffic neighbourhoods and school streets!

👏👏👏 North Tyneside Council so many children and young people will benefit from these cycling and walking improvements and what a lovely way to celebrate!
