Heaton LTN again - this is one councillor’s perspective. Interesting spin on it all with partial story and some misinformation here. Disappointing to see him intimating that wasting transport funding is ok because the council can’t use it for other services.

In the long run CO2 emissions from cars WILL go down because of electric cars. But the long run is too slow to avoid climate catastrophe. We need to cut CO2 emissions this decade, and most cars in 2030 will still not be EVs. So we can’t cut CO2 if we build more roads #4
