Large milkweed bugs (Oncopeltus fasciatus) are “piercing and sucking” #insects. This means they eat with a mouthpart sort of like a straw. As #milkweed seed pods grow and mature, so do masses of these beautiful insects, who are capitalizing on this nutritious resource.
