I have seen many elections, and I am still always amazed at how many candidates break the law by posting signs in the public right of way. Usually, the first sign I won't vote for you.

15 years ago a lot of people had a vision. Today that vision paid off with the grand opening of the 1000 acre Ravenwood Regional Park to serve the Donelson and Hermitage area. Thanks to the hundreds of people over the years who made this happen.

I have worked directly with Freddie for the past eight years on the Metro Council. He has always been well prepared and a strong advocate for better transportation in our city. I think it is time for a mayor ready to focus on our transit issues. Freddie is that person.

Ravenwood park is outstanding. It’s so well done. It’s maybe the best public investment I’ve experienced in nashville in 5 years. It was so busy! All different kinds of people were making the space their own in unique ways. Kudos Kevin Rhoten on bringing this to your district.

Nashvillians have a lot on the line. Keeping people safe in strong neighborhoods with accessible transit options will make Nashville a place everyone wants to stay. And as mayor, I'll get started on those priorities on day one. The polls open at 7 am on Thursday.

Thank you to those with kind words wanting me to run for the state house. I have accepted a new job with Metro Nashville. After eight years on the Metro Council, this was the best path for our family moving forward. I look forward to supporting our new representative.

We have a new dog park opening in Germantown after years of work on the project by the former councilman, now mayor, Freddie O’Connell. It also gives him a chance to talk to some of his smaller constituents.
