we knew this stuff was going on at the time, and it is a big reason the pandemic and now vaccination and public health are so polarized. people have to understand if they are in a job where they have to play it politically straight.

Hey Elon Musk Many posts clearly written by AI, edited by human. Can tell by combination of cadence, word choice, aphoristic style, way validation is used, etc. Many 100K+ view posts. Really harms my experience on X, personally. Possible to disable pasting into post window?

Academia is filled with sociopaths and narcissists. Universities actively promote these behaviors through their bureaucratic power structures that lack transparency and accountability. 1/

These institutional bureaucracies prioritize their survival and expansion over scholarly missions. Thus, individuals with narcissistic or sociopathic tendencies exploit these structures, ensuring that these administrative systems benefit their own interests rather than serving

Bureaucratic administrators are often distanced from direct scholarship. The separation creates moral disengagement, allowing unethical or exploitative behaviors to go unnoticed or be rationalized. 5/

As taxpayer-funded institutions, the universities serve the American people. Not left-wing social engineering. Unless they accept this, the universities must be defunded for violating their social contract with the American people.

Many people make claims about AI capabilities based on their experience with chatbots. But it is important to understand that chatbots are not AI. Chatbots are a narrow implementation of AI for a generalist use case. Chatbot use gives incomplete insight about AI capabilities.

In private many of my thoughtful establishment scientist friends acknowledge how broken science is. A striking number (including at Harvard) are on the verge of secretly supporting Trump.

To be clear, I don't really like MAHA (and that's an understatement), but I'm glad to fight alongside them because the establishment elites are so corrupt and foolish and for now remain the far bigger problem. The next 5-10 years will give rise to a completely new system.

Why did public health deny COVID-19 natural immunity? Why was it called "misinformation" and censored online? Paul Offit explains Anthony Fauci and Francis Collins decided the issue by a vote. "The Science" simply became whatever a four-person, closed-door vote decided it was.

Courage is the difference between beholding oneself to a tyranny of lies and experiencing moral justice/freedom. Courage is infectious, as is fear. Thank you Vanessa Sivadge for your courage.

I did a deep dive into Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson's dissenting opinion. It's even worse than I expected. Follow this thread to see for yourself. 🧵

A big step forward today for the NIH. We have issued a guide notice implementing Pres. Donald J. Trump's executive order ending US support for dangerous gain-of-function research. No scientific project is worth the risk of causing a pandemic.
