"Swords of Mars" by Michael Whelan (1979) Michael quite harshly criticizes his own work on this one, stating that it's his least favorite John Carter cover, lamenting the heavy use of yellow and wishing he could redo the character poses. Still a great piece IMO! #FantasyArt
