🏛️ California's Big City Mayors are in the State Capitol advocating for permanent funding for Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention (HHAP). Led by San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, we’re sharing proven successes in addressing homelessness and discussing the need to #ProtectOurProgress.

We just wrapped up a meeting with Assembly Budget Sub Chair Sharon Quirk-Silva and Housing Committee Chair Assemblymember Chris Ward. Our Mayors advocated for ongoing funding to address homelessness, employing young people through California Volunteers's Youth Service Corps and to #BuildMoreHousing.

Today we honor and remember the many who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Your sacrifice and your service will never be forgotten🇺🇸🙏🏾.

Today our nation witnessed a senseless, violent attack on former President Trump. Innocent bystanders were injured and lives were lost. I am appalled at this brazen act of violence and my prayers are with President Trump, the victims, and their families.
